Certification Testing And Classes at BSTI

  Certification & VUE Testing Center

BSTI hosts Manchester's only VUE Testing Center, which allows our students and members of the public to take their certification exams at a convenient, downtown location with free parking.

We schedule tests Monday through Thursday. The fastest way to register is to visit the Vue website and choose a convenient time.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

 

A+ Certification
 Begin your career as an IT professional or PC technician. Acquire the support skills and information needed to install, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, and perform preventative maintenance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems.  Included are the 2 CompTIA exams required to become A+ certified, reference library, practice exams, and a tool kit.  

Network+ Certification
Study the networking concepts and skills to prepare for a career in network support or administration. Learn to identify and describe all the major networking technologies, systems, skills, and tools in use in modern PC-based computer networks.  CompTIA certification exam is included.

Security + Certification
 Builds on your knowledge and professional experience of computer hardware, operating systems, and networks as you acquire the specific skills required to implement basic security services on any type of computer network and respond to security breaches. CompTIA certification exam is included.

Computer Support Specialist
 Become the contact person to answer questions in MS Office applications, be first to troubleshoot any hardware or software problems, and resolve networking issues.  This track prepares you for CompTIA A+ Certification, Network+ Certification & satisfies most prerequisites for more advanced Microsoft certification courses.

Security Certified Network Specialist: SCNS
The Tactical Perimeter Defense course is designed to provide network administrator and certification candidates with hands-on tasks on the most fundamental perimeters security technologies.  The network perimeter is often the first line of defense in an organization’s network.  This course covers the issues every administrator must be aware of to protect their network.  Certification:  This course is preparation for the SCNS certification exam
Certification is an individual's best bet for working and moving up in the technical field. Not only can they help get a job, but they can significantly impact promotions and pay raises. BSTI offers a great way to learn the information and prepare to pass the exams.

MCP, MCSE & MCSA
 Pass one Microsoft Certification to become a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).  Take a series of Microsoft Certification courses and pass corresponding exams to earn Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE). Select from core & elective courses to meet your specific career needs. Call us for more information!

Microsoft Certified Application Specialist
BSTI is authorized through Microsoft and Certiport to offer Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) certification exam.  BSTI pioneered a preparation class for these exams known as Exam Cram. The 3 hour seminars explore the world of MCAS Certification. Go through a list of the objectives for each test, learn how to prepare for the exam, and take a free practice test.
DOD DIRECTIVE
There are three levels of SCP training required by the Department of Defense Directive 8570.1. These courses will be offered by BSTI in the upcoming months.

Credit for Classes!
 Southern New Hampshire University will grant three college credits for completion of 90 hours of computer instruction from BSTI.  In Addition, Comptia A+ Certification with Network + or Security + Certification can be credited toward an IT or free elective.  If you decide to go on to college, this could save you up to 6 credits and $1400!
